Piano Lessons are $1/minute. Always.
Your lessons are scheduled on a particular day and at a particular time every week. When you sign up for lessons, this is your time. You're paying for the time slot during which your lesson will take place. No one else is scheduled during your time.
You pick your spot after your introductory lesson. The first lesson is 30 minutes long, and costs $20.
All other lessons are $1 per minute, with a 20 minute minimum.
The following are acceptable payment methods:
- Credit/debit card
- American/Mexican/Canadian/EU cash currency
- United States Post Office and Western Union money orders
- Untreated sapphires of any color
- Silver/gold/platinum bars and coins
Personal checks are never accepted.
You pay for your lessons one month at a time, and they are non-refundable.
If you wish to have 30 minute lessons in August on Thursdays @ 4 p.m. for example (a time that is currently available, BTW), you’ll pay:
$30 x 5 (August 2, 9, 16, 23, 30) = $150 on or before July 30 using one of the above methods.
If you need to cancel an individual lesson, please do so by calling or texting 313.919.2806 and/or by emailing us at ThePianoInstructor.email@example.com. Please be sure to tell us the name of your piano instructor.
Note that when you cancel a lesson, the time becomes available for someone else to use as a make-up.
You will have paid for that time slot already, so make sure you take your make-up lesson so that you will not have wasted that money. Contact us or your piano instructor to do that.
When we travel to our students, it is our policy to try to arrive ten minutes early. Rarely are we late due to this policy.
However, things do happen. Michigan weather, traffic, etc.
For this reason, we will always call and text if we are running late. Always. If we haven’t called or texted and we are more than ten minutes late, something is wrong.
We will always call and text if we are running late.
If you are traveling to us, and you are running late by more than ten minutes and you haven’t called or texted, we will begin to look for you with every means at our disposal.
We will always call and text if we are running late. Please do the same.
How To Stop Lessons
You may end your lessons anytime. Simply tell your piano teacher that this is your last lesson, and then text or email us. Your lessons are pre-paid and non-refundable, so it is advisable to cancel near the last lesson of the month.
Cancellation Due to Illness
Do not come to a lesson if you are sick. We will understand. If you’re sick for an extended period of time, do not try to rush back to your lessons (or your work, either, really). Get well. Take the time you need. Your skills aren’t going to go out the window within a few days. We will work out your lessons and payment to make it fair and equitable.
